Hermes has sued a Californian artist, Mason Rothschild, for his “MetaBirkins” digital artworks alleging trademark infringement. Feb 25, 2022. March 4, 2022. Feb 22, 2022. In the US too, several companies are protecting their trademarks for similar goods and services. Some examples under class 9 include: S.No. TOMMY JEANS.

Here are the biggest trademark stories of 2022 that we have been following at EMP&A. The application was initially approved and published for opposition in June 2022. I attended the Global Online Thesis Topic Meetings (“GOTTMs”) hosted by Leiden University on April 5, 2022. He explained that an NFT typically includes only information about the artwork’s location. The actual artwork is not stored within the NFT because storing large amounts of data on a blockchain is fairly expensive.

Moving on to the EU and searching for goods and services like “ downloadable virtual goods ” filed since 1st January 2022 on the EU register disclosed, as of 2nd May 2022, 340 results. It would certainly seem so. This is to be distinguished from the internet as we currently know it.
