If approved, the Bill would accelerate as a matter of law the closure of the remaining power plants originally scheduled to close by 2040 pursuant to Chile's Plan for Decarbonization and Closure of Coal-Fired Power Plants, which provides for a three-phase closure rather than a one-time ban. by 2030 and 7% by 2035.
