Leeds in his research article titled By Eminent Domain Or Some Other Name: A Tribal Perspective On Taking Land published in Tulsa Law Review mentions how eminent domain has affected the Tribal population of India. The raja’s refusal to pay mankins led to riots on many occasions, including in Tamar in 1789 and again in 1807 and 1808.
